We acknowledge this land carries the layered histories of many people—those who first cared for it, those displaced, those whose labor shaped it over generations, and those here today.
We honor the Saura (Cheraw) people and Indigenous communities, as well as the many others who have shown resilience through struggles and injustices as they stewarded this region.
In this moment, we hold space for the past, the present, and a collective hope for an equitable future for all people.
